Stormwater Filters Protect The Environment
In larger cities, stormwater filters help to remove litter, chemicals, gasoline and oils from water. When it rains in major cities, the water that falls on the ground runs along streets and sidewalks as it makes its way toward the city's drainage system. As this water travels on these surfaces, it comes in contact with and carries many of these contaminates. Once the water enters the city's drainage system, stormwater filters remove most of these harmful substances. Without stormwater filters, the waters of the lakes and rivers surrounding major cities would become contaminated. Thanks to these filters, our environment is better protected.
